Jadvyga Rindzeviciute Kliorys, age 100, passed away peacefully in her home on August 9, 2020. Beloved wife of Petras (deceased December 27, 2003), she is survived by her four children: Kestutis (Mary), Vytautas (Rita), Ona (Jonas Daugirdas), Zivile (Linas Vaitkus). Dearest grandmother of Kristina (Aleksandras Stankevicius) with great granddaughter Lija Jadvyga, Saulius Kliorys (Catherine) with great granddaughter Eva; Kestutis, Adomas, Sarunas, and Mykolas Daugirdas; Vytas (Sydney), Linas, and Kristijonas Vaitkus. Cherished aunt to many nephews and nieces: Ramutis, Vytautas, Algirdas, Kestutis, Mindaugas, and Egidijus Rindzevicius, Vida Kugeliene and Zita Strasinskiene in Lithuania; Terese Berzinskas, Vytautas, Antanas, Eligijus, Remigijus, and Saulius Suziedelis in the United States. Jadvyga was born in Reguliai, Lithuania June 16, 1920. Forced to leave her homeland in 1944 during World War II, she spent five years in displaced person camps, emigrating to the United States in 1949, finally settling in Cleveland, Ohio in 1950. She worked as a medical technologist in the Cleveland Clinic hematology laboratories from 1965 until retirement. Throughout her 100 years Jadvyga touched many lives with her caring and wisdom. She was a woman of deep and abiding faith, and a genuine example of kindness and tolerance toward everyone she met. Her erudition and phenomenal memory never ceased to amaze. Services will take place on Saturday, August 15th. Visitation and family remembrances beginning at 11:30 am at Jakubs & Son Funeral Home, 936 E. 185th St, Cleveland OH 44119. The funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm at St. Casimir Parish, 18022 Neff Rd. Cleveland, OH 44119. Masks and social distancing are required. Jadvyga contributed to many charitable and Catholic organizations, in particular those that instilled values and educated Lithuanian youth.
