After returning home as a decorated Vietnam War Era Veteran, George became an icon of Cleveland: the city he loved and was born in. Here, he was THE face of The Flats, a radio talk show host, a devoted Indians baseball fan and a faithful supporter of many small local businesses. He was the pulse of Cleveland and a true man of the people. A beloved friend and chosen family member of many, George never knew a stranger. He is remembered as a true gentleman, and will live on in the hearts and the history of Cleveland as the host of Town Talk and our Dapper man.
Dear son of George and Jennie (nee Kranjc) (both deceased); dear brother of Nina Transky (George) and Eric (deceased) (Melanie); devoted cousin, caregiver and protector Andy Eminger, devoted uncle of Connor and Kelly.
Family will greet friends on Thursday, Oct. 24th from 3-7pm at Jakubs & Son Funeral Home 936 E. 185th, Cleveland, OH 44119
