EDWARD L. KNAUS, age 106, long time Euclid resident, passed away peacefully on 12/25/2022.
Survived by daughter Karen L., several nieces and nephews, and their children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Wanda (Cebron), infant son Edward Jr., parents Louis and Anna (Centa) Knaus, in-laws Rafael and Kristina (Mihel) Cebron, fishing buddy and brother-in-law Ralph Cebron (Theresa), and siblings Louis (Rose), Ann, Mary (Frank Glowacki), Donna (Larry Shuster), Henry, Mollie (Andy Curilovic) and Dorothy (Frank Kne), as well as a lifetime of canine companions. Eddie was an army veteran of World War II, a staff sergeant who served in Asia. He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service. He was a legendary fisherman, an animal and nature lover, an avid reader of history, a lifelong Democrat, a staunch union supporter, and a long-time employee of Addressograph-Multigraph in Euclid. Eddie was definitely a character who lived by his own code. If you like, memorial donations may be sent to Euclid Pet Pals 25100 Lakeland Blvd. Euclid, OH 44132 or Cleveland Metroparks Legacy Fund, 4101 Fulton Parkway, Cleveland, OH, 44144; or just do something positive for the planet. Special thanks to his many caregivers over the last 10 years, especially the Slovene Home staff and, for the last few weeks, Hospice of the Western Reserve. A private graveside service will be held at All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements by Jakubs & Son Funeral Home.
