Carol Ann Chiricuzio Kerrett was born in Corry Pennsylvania September 23, 1942. She graduated from Corry Area High School in 1960 and entered Clarion Pennsylvania State College after graduation. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English and Education from Clarion, 1964. Carol taught English at Beaty Junior High School in Warren Pennsylvania as well as St. Edwards High School, Lakewood, Ohio and Bedford High School, Bedford, Ohio.

Carol achieved a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling at John Carroll University, Ohio in 1981. She taught Reading, English, and learning strategies in the Education Department and was promoted to Director of Reading at John Carroll University. She had a passion for teaching and mentoring University students as an educator for over 30 years and has been recognized as an exemplary educator and leader in her field. She also was known as a longtime freelance tutor at JCU. Carol encouraged students to be their best and to develop into “men and women for others”.

Memorial Mass on March 16, 2019 will be held in the Marian Chapel of GESU Church, 2490 Miramar Blvd. University Hts, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 10am - 11am and Mass will be celebrated at 11am. Inurnment at All Saints Cemetery will follow the mass.
